a very special hotel with a caring, friendly and accomodating staff which caters to Parliament and the diplomatic corps.
Our hotel by night - seen from the lovely Hungerford Bridge.
                                               ==>
The view from our window -

Our big, beautiful hotel room.

Just outside the hotel...

<==
...and by day
==>
Westminster Abbey...
from Whitehall    ==>
Craven Street - between Whitehall and the Strand - only two blocks long, but look what we found there!!!
Great Scotland Yard!!!
Just around the corner from our hotel...
Not sure which building was the original home of Inspector Lastrade but the whole street feels like it should have horse carriages, not cars!
And just off Craven Street -
  THE SHERLOCK HOLMES RESTAURANT!!!!
complete with a wonderful menu filled with such items as "Dr. Watson's favorite sandwich"...
Just a short walk down Whitehall... we are in the center of the British government...
And a block or two further we reach the corner of Whitehall and Victoria Streets...
On the Strand just east of Craven Street -
Charing Cross Station !
And the other side of London's entertainment world -
Picadilly Circus!
Don't stop now!
