Brilliant St. Tropez Harbor
...As seen from the deck of our ship
An old world resort town built on a cliff down a beautiful fiord - there are hundreds of steps to climb to get into the heart of town..
As we sail down the fiord we pass resorts, an ancient Moorish fortress and the protective cliffs and fortifications at the mouth of the fiord.
Built on hills, under the protection of an ancient fortress, Lisbon is a fascinating mixture of old and new, rich with the heritage of exploration, led by Prince Henry the Navigator, and strong faith of the Catholic church.
Our Tram and Bus tour began in Black Horse Square
The ornate arch leads out of the square into the heart of the shopping area.
Our delightful guides in traditional costume greeted us
as we boarded our tram to tour the "old city".  On our ride they served us wine and Belem tarts.
Henry the Navigator
The National Theatre
This building turned out to be an apartment building!  What an amazing fusion of old and new!
The Se Cathedral
Dick waits in for our bus in the Cathedral square.
We found this fabulous statue of
Moses with the Tablets of the Law and a Sword
on the front of the Cathedral!!!
The St. Jeronimo Monastery
The Tower of Belem
The Monument to the Discoveries

Carved in the shape of a Caravelle, it is surrounded by all those explorers of navigation, science, literature and more who have helped create the world we live in - leading them at the prow is
Prince Henry the Navigator.
This stunning church dates back to ancient days...
The Oporto Customs House housed a meeting of world leaders, including President Clinton & Fidel Castro.
We take a wonderful cruise down the River Douro, followed by a visit to a winery making Oporto's famous Port Wine!
The river is studded with bridge after bridge.
A fabulous yacht complete with helicopter and multiple tenders...
...that casually sailed by our ship... oh my!
